canopy tree assessment (clause 52.73)

Victoria's Canopy Tree Regulations (Clause 52.37) were introduced to help protect and enhance tree canopy cover across the state.

Under these regulations, council approval may be required before certain canopy trees can be removed or significantly altered.  Requirements can vary between councils and planning schemes, depending on the tree and the works being proposed. .

Our Level 5 Qualified Arborist can provide professional canopy tree assessments and reporting to help homeowners, builders and developers understand their obligations under the planning scheme.

Whether you are planning a renovation, subdivision, new dwelling, extension or tree removal project, we can assess your trees and provide professional advice regarding potential planning requirements and council expectations.

If you are unsure whether Clause 52.37 applies to your property, contact Tree Health & Safety to discuss your project and arrange an assessment.
